The department of vehicle engineering was established in 2005, which is the  first-class undergraduate major construction point of Yunnan province. There are 10 faculty members, including 1 professors, 3 associate professors. It has one Yunnan provincial bilingual demonstration course, one collaborative education project platform of the Ministry of Education and two "1+X" talent training education platforms.  Professional training objectives is to cultivate high-quality application-oriented engineering and technical talents who can be engaged in manufacturing, testing, application, design, research, marketing and operation management of modern vehicle enterprises related to vehicle engineering.
