Mechanical design manufacture and automation was established in 1994, which is the implementation major of the provincial outstanding engineer education and training program, first-class undergraduate major construction point of Yunnan province. There are 13 faculty members, including 3 professors, 5 associate professors, and 1 leading talent of industrial technology in the Ten Thousand Person Plan of Yunnan province. The department has a master's degree authorization point of machinery design and manufacture. This major emphasizes the cultivation of mechanical design, mechanical manufacturing, mechanical and electrical control and other abilities, strengthens the cultivation of students' practical ability and innovation ability, and gradually forms a task-driven practical teaching mode of "discipline competition".  Graduates can be engaged in mechanical equipment development, design and manufacturing, application research, operation management and other aspects of work.
