The major of mechatronics engineering was established in 2019, which is the  first-class undergraduate major construction point of Yunnan province. There are 5 faculty members, 6 external teachers, 2 professors, 6 associate professors. The major is an important one for the development of intelligent manufacturing and intelligent equipment that focus on the field of artificial intelligence research in the national strategic emerging industries. It requires mastery of basic theory, knowledge and professional skills in mechanical engineering, electronic technology and control theory and technology. Graduates can be engaged in the design and manufacture, research and development, engineering application, operation management and other work of electromechanical integration products and systems in the design and production departments and scientific research departments of enterprises.
